Oppo A74 5G smartphone was launched on 5th April 2021. The phone
comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2400
pixels at a pixel density of 405 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of
20:9. Oppo A74 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor.
It comes with 6GB of RAM. The Oppo A74 5G runs Android 11 and is powered by a
5000mAh battery. The Oppo A74 5G supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Oppo A74 5G on the rear
packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture; a 2-megapixel
camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports an 8-megapixel camera on the
front for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Oppo A74 5G runs ColorOS 11.1 is based on Android 11 and packs
128GB of inbuilt storage. The Oppo A74 5G is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM)
smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Oppo A74 5G measures
162.90 x 74.70 x 8.40mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams.
It was launched in Fantastic Purple and Fluid Black colours.
Connectivity options on the Oppo A74 5G include Wi-Fi 802.11

Mi X11
Xiaomi's brand new Mi 11 Ultra “superphone” and 75-inch QLED TV might be getting all the
attention after last week's big launch event, but it's the much more
affordable Mi 11X that we're going to be focusing on today. While still
relatively affordable even by “flagship killer” standards, the Mi 11X looks
like an aspirational phone that offers up-to-date hardware, flexible cameras,
and lots of little touches that set it apart from the low-cost crowd. It's
priced starting at Rs. 29,999 and goes up against the OnePlus
Nord (Review) and Oppo F19 Pro 5G (Review), among others. Here's a quick first look at
what the Mi 11X has to offer.
You have a choice of three colours, the fairly straightforward
Lunar Whilte and Cosmic Black, plus a Celestial Silver option which looks like
it has a slightly tinted gradient. The rear panel of my black review unit is
extremely glossy and reflective, and picked up very visible fingerprints within
moments of pulling off the protective plastic wrapper. Thankfully, a simple
clear case is included in the box.
In terms of design,
there are some similarities to the recently launched Redmi Note 10 series,
particularly the flattened top and bottom, the fingerprint sensor on the side,
and the layout of the camera module. The Mi 11X looks more sedate, though. If you think
it looks very familiar, you might have seen coverage of the Redmi K40, which launched in China a little while ago, and appears to be pretty much the same phone with a
different brand identity.
This is a relatively tall and wide phone, thanks to its
6.67-inch screen. The 7.8mm thickness and 196g weight make it relatively easy
to handle, and the camera bump is not too pronounced. While glossy, the rear
panel thankfully isn't slippery. There's Gorilla Glass 5 on the front as well
as the rear, and interestingly the company claims an IP53 rating for water and
dust resistance.
One of the big
highlights is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, which we've also just
seen in the OnePlus
9R (Review) and Vivo X60 Pro (Review), although both these phones are considerably
more expensive. The Mi 11X is
available with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM for Rs. 29,999 but this variant seems rather
pointless since you can get 8GB for just a little more at Rs. 31,999. Storage
is 128GB (UFS 3.1) for both, and there's no microSD slot for expansion.
Another major feature is the high-quality display panel. Xiaomi has
gone with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ 120Hz HDR10+ panel. The company claims an
impressive peak brightness of 1300nits, and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut
coverage. The panel is also said to be power efficient to help extend battery
life. While the hole for the front camera is surprisingly small, Xiaomi has
once again added a silver ring around it which can be very distracting.
Speaking of that,
there's a 4,520mAh battery which seems about average for this segment. The Mi 11X comes with a 33W USB-PD
charger and should be able to charge fully in under an hour, according to Xiaomi. We'll be testing battery life
and charging speed in our full review. Other noteworthy specs include Wi-Fi 6,
Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band GPS plus support for NavIC. In terms of audio, you
get stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos enhancement, and wired and wireless high-res
audio certification. Typically for a Xiaomi phone, there's an Infrared emitter
on the top.
That brings us to the cameras – marketing takes a backseat here
since there's no “quad camera” or 108-megapixel main sensor to boast of.
Instead, you get a relatively humble-sounding 48-megapixel f/1.79 main camera,
an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel “telemacro” camera with 2X
zoom, which sounds just like what we recently saw on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max (Review). While these specs do sound basic, we'll have
to wait for the full review in order to evaluate the quality of captured photos
and videos. Xiaomi does say that the Mi
11X has three mics for improved audio recording.
As for software, Xiaomi ships the Mi 11 series with its MIUI 12,
and there is some advertising and promotional content. The company has
previously promised that all of this will disappear in MIUI 12.5 but we don't
have a release date for that yet.

We'll also evaluate its capabilities when it comes to gaming, photography, battery life, software, and general ease of use. a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture; a 13-megapixel camera
with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has
autofocus. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an
f/2.0 aperture.
The iQOO 7 runs OriginOS for iQoo is based on Android 11 and packs
128GB of inbuilt storage. The iQOO 7 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone
that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The iQOO 7 measures 162.20 x 75.80 x
8.70mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 209.50 grams. It was launched in
Storm Black and Solid Ice Blue colours.
Connectivity options on the iQOO 7 include Wi-Fi 802.11
a/b/g/n/ac/Yes, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support
for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include
accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope,
proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The iQOO 7 supports face
unlock.
As of 27th April 2021, iQOO 7 price in India starts at Rs. 31,990.
iQOO is finally gearing up for the launch of its upcoming high-end
smartphone in India. This smartphone, called the iQOO 7 is being continuously
teased by the brand. Also, iQOO took to Twitter last week to reveal the launch
date of this smartphone. The iQOO 7 will go official on April 26 in India.
The brand has further confirmed that the iQOO 7 series will bring two devices
to India, the standard iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend. While Qualcomm's Snapdragon 870
SoC will power the former, the latter will get the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The iQOO 7 Legend, which is the
superior of the two phones, is developed in partnership with BMW M Motorsport.
This smartphone will get the iconic tri-colour racing stripes of the BMW M
Motorsport as part of the partnership.
Now that the launch of the iQOO 7
series is not too far, the brand is creating a buzz on social media by
revealing the key specs of these devices. Keeping that in mind, we decided to
stack everything we know so far about the iQOO 7 lineup.
iQOO 7 specs and features
--The iQOO 7 lineup was revealed back in January this year in China, through which we are aware of the complete details. As far as the design of the iQOO 7 is concerned, it features a rectangular camera module that stacks a triple camera setup on the rear. Apart from this, the back panel is relatively plain, with an iQOO branding on the camera module itself.
iQOO 7 launch date revealed
--There's a slight change on the top-end iQOO 7 Legend though, it
features tri-coloured racing stripes with a slogan that says "Fascination
Meets Innovation".
--On the front, both these smartphones sport a centred punch-hole
display. Both the devices also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for
authentication.
--The iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend sport a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED
display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Meaning the refresh rate will vary
depending on the content being viewed. The display is HDR 10+ certified with a
peak brightness of 1300 nits.
--Both the IQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend will be powered by Snapdragon
800 series chipset. While flagship Snapdragon 888 Soc will power the top-end
iQOO 7 legend, the younger sibling iQOO 7 will get a Snapdragon 870 chipset,
which will be coupled with another intelligent display chipset, the brand
revealed in a tweet. These are top of the line chipsets that can slice through
anything you throw at them.

--iQOO has also revealed that both these smartphones will feature advanced liquid cooling technology for heat dissipation. iQOO claims that this allows the phones to keep the CPU temperature low by 14-degree celsius and external temperature low by 5-degree Celsius
In the camera department, the standard iQOO 7 will be powered by a triple
rear camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel IMX 598 primary sensor, a
13-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and finally, a 13-megapixel portrait camera.
There's a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies on the front. While the iQOO 7
Legend will also feature a triple camera setup, the sensors included will see a
change. The setup will include a 48-megapixel IMX 598 primary shooter, a 50mm
portrait lens, and a third unknown lens.
--Further, these devices will ship with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM
and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
--The iQOO 7 will be running Android 11 with Origin OS on top.
Apart from this, the connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G VoLTE,
Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
--Finally, the iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend will ship with a 4000mAH
battery with 66W fast charging.
iQOO 7 India launch
The iQOO 7 lineup was released in China in the month of January
this year. After a couple of months of leaks, the brand is set to release the
iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend in India. iQOO last week announced that the iQOO 7
series would go official on April 26 in India.
